Rushford-Peterson Homecoming 2018

The Rushford-Peterson Schools will celebrate Homecoming 2018 the week of Sept. 24-29, 2018. This year’s theme is “Roll out the Red Carpet.” There will be a coronation ceremony on Monday, Sept. 24 at 2:45 p.m. in the Auditorium. The Homecoming K-12 Pep Fest will be held from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the High School Gym on Thursday, Sept. 27. 

The Homecoming Parade is Friday, Sept. 28 at 2 p.m.  The parade route will start at Niggle Field, south down Mill St./Hwy 43, turn down W. Jessie St., and turn south at Elm St. and end the backside of Nordic Lanes.

The Homecoming dance and presentation of Royalty will be Saturday, Sept. 29.  Doors open at 7:30 p.m.  Presentation of Royalty will be at 8 p.m. and the Homecoming dance will be from 8:30-11 p.m. Admission cost to the dance is $8 per person. General admission cost for the Presentation of Royalty is $1 or a Homecoming button.

• JV Football vs. Wabasha-Kellogg

• MS/HS Bowling Night at Nordic Lanes (5:30-7:30 p.m.)

Tuesday, Sept. 25:

• Pumpkin Bowl (7th/8th Grade Football vs. Fillmore Central)

• 5:30 p.m. – 7th Grade; 6:30 p.m. – 8th Grade

• Volleyball vs. Lewiston-Altura

• 4:30 p.m. – 7/8th Grade; 4:45 p.m. – 9th Grade; 6 p.m. – JV; 7:15 p.m. – Varsity

• Taco Feed at Volleyball Game ($5 for walking taco and cookie)

Thursday, Sept. 27:

• Cross Country Meet Varsity Invitational at St. Charles 4:30 p.m.

• Volleyball vs. Dover-Eyota

• 4:30 p.m. – 7/8th Grade (Pumpkin Bowl); 4:45 p.m. – 9th Grade; 6 p.m. – JV; 7:15 p.m. – Varsity

• Presentation of Royalty at Volleyball Game

Friday, Sept. 28

• Varsity Football game at 7 p.m. vs. Winona Cotter

• Presentation of Royalty before the football game

• Bonfire after game in Niggle Field parking lot

• Pumpkin Bowl Dance for Middle School students

In addition to sporting events there will be dress up days and class competitions. In addition, community members can get a Trojan Head spray painted in their yard or on their driveway, and our Middle School Student Council will be “School Spiriting Up” our downtown businesses. Homecoming buttons are for sale in the main office for $1. The Rushford-Peterson High School and Middle School Student Councils are coordinating all activities for Homecoming 2018.
