Gymnasts prepare for Section Meet

The team score dropped as the regular season closed for the Caledonia/Spring Grove/Houston gymnasts on Feb. 4 at Kasson-Mantorville/Triton. "Sometimes, it's all in the judges' eyes," said coach Jackie Johnson.

The judges scored the Komets at 120.725 and the Warriors 107.525. Both teams, as usual, received highest scores on vault. The Warriors came closest to the home team on the uneven parallel bars (26.25 to 25.225).

The highest placement for C/SG/H came on bars with Braelyn Lange and Cameryn Kruse sharing third and fourth places with scores of 6.575.

Brianna Johnson posted the team's best score of 7.95 while placing fourth on vault. Both Kruse at 7.75 (sixth) and Lange at 7.625 (seventh) received their highest scores on vault as well.

The other top five finishes came with Lange (6.55) and Johnson (6.4) taking fourth and fifth on the balance beam.

Only on floor exercise did the Warriors not achieve a top five finish. Johnson was sixth and Lange seventh.

In all around, Lange was fifth (27.5) and Johnson seventh (26.125).
