Chatfield Brass Band to play Christmas music

Join the Chatfield Brass Band for its annual Christmas concert on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 1:30 p.m. in Potter Auditorium.

The concert is free and a family event. Directed by Carmen Narveson, the band will perform many Christmas favorites with guest vocalists Mary Ludwig and Dan Hollermann.

Selections will include “Adeste Fidelis,” “Nativity Carols,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Winter Wonderland,” a swing band version of “Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer,” “Silver Bells” and more. Featured this year will be “Gabby’s Gifts: Through the Eyes of a Child,” written by local director and composer Lane Powell. The piece is in memory of Gabby Brown and written in tribute to her and her family.

Other highlights include an audience sing-a-long, kids joining the band with jingle bells, and a visit from Santa Claus. A reception follows the concert in the Legion room.  The concert is in conjunction with the Chatfield High School Art Club bake sale and art auction.
