Chatfield boys’ golf team gets second win

The Chatfield boys golf team got another win in Three Rivers Conference play, 232-251 over St. Charles. That puts the team’s record at 2-0 for the season, overall and TRC.

Riley Mulhern led the team with a score of 56. He was followed by Colton Johnson (58), Sam Rudlong (59) and Tadyn Burnett (59). The top four athletes score for each team in a meet. Also competing for the Gophers were Ryan House (68) and Bralyn Burnett (69).

Logan Gall of St. Charles was medalist with a score of 51. The other Saint scores were 59, 65 and 76.

The Chatfield girls were incomplete as the team had only two players of the four required. Only Mollie Henry (62) and Paige Erickson (76) competed for the Lady Gophers. St. Charles had a team score of 269. Lily Sullivan shot a 57 for medalist honors.

This week the golfers compete against Kingsland twice: Monday at Chatfield and Thursday in Spring Valley. Tuesday the team was scheduled to host Plainview-Elgin-Millville.
