SPRING GROVE (1.3 titles) whose achievement is especially noteworthy considering the Lions compete in only four SEC races, and for four straight years, have won championships in three - football, girls basketball and boys basketball. In its fourth SEC race, SG tied as division runner-up in volleyball.

    The Spring Grove seventh grade boys placed fourth at the Pacesetter Great Four-State Basketball Tournament last Saturday at the Target Center in Minneapolis. 
  • SUMMER SPORTS: Lions debut in summer football league
    Summer league volleyball came to a close with two Lion wins in Winona last week while Spring Grove's first-ever 7-on-7 football summer league season got underway at University of Wisconsin at La Crosse. 
  • Foursome feted as Athletes of the Year
    For the first time in school history, two boys and two girls have been named Spring Grove co-Athletes of the Year. Seniors Nicki Ellingson and Aly Folz shared the award for the ladies while senior Caleb Happel and junior Dustin Vickerman were co-honorees for the boys. 
  • Lions play in state tourneys, local leagues
    In addition to the seventh grade boys state title run, there were three other Spring Grove teams playing in state tournaments last weekend at St. Cloud. 
  • Lidstrom repeats; Speltz, Pettit also all-conference
    Three Caledonia/Spring Grove baseball players have earned all-conference honors in the Three Rivers South Division - junior Kai Lidstrom, senior Josef Pettit and junior Harrison Speltz. 
  • Engelhardt tabbed for state cage showcase
    Spring Grove's Alex Engelhardt has been honored with an invitation to play in Pacesetter's annual summer basketball exhibition games.

    Caledonia/Spring Grove senior golfer Devin Schiltz hit the links at The Ridges at Sand Creek (Jordan) on June 10-11.

    Spring Grove/Caledonia junior Samantha Bratland has been named to the 2014 Class AA All-State softball team 
  • Spring Grove/Caledonia completed its softball post-season run last week playing twice on Friday in St. Charles and once the following Tuesday at Austin's Todd Park.
