Margaret “Marge” Ann Ewing, 84, of Waukon, Iowa, died Friday, March 10, 2017, at Thornton Manor in Lansing, Iowa.

Margaret was born Jan. 16, 1933, in Frankville, Iowa, the daughter of Hans and Ruth Ann (Meikle) Stegen. She was baptized and confirmed at Frankville Presbyterian Church and graduated from Postville High School in 1950.

On Jan. 18, 1953, she married Kenneth Milton Ewing in Dubuque, Iowa. Marge enjoyed fishing and spending time at the river with her family.

She worked at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon as a dietician.

Survivors include her children: Vicki (Joe) Price of Decorah, Iowa, Connie (Craig) Rocksvold of Waukon and Amy (Craig) Wiemerslage of New Albin, Iowa; six grandchildren: Keni-Joe Ewing, Emily Rocksvold, Luke Rocksvold, Allie Klein, Amanda Fahey and Skylar Fahey; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Mike (Jan) Stegen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2013; a brother, Lee Stegen; and four sisters, Maxine Volks, Ardel Sullivan, Pat Romeo and Lila Dishon.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, at Forest Mills United Methodist Church in rural Postville, Iowa, with the Rev. Kim Gates officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Oakland Cemetery in Waukon.

Friends may call one hour before services on Wednesday at the church.
